Why does my brand show zero visibility?
Updated
Short answer
Usually because the engines genuinely do not name you yet, which is the finding rather than a fault. Check first that your prompts are questions a buyer would ask where you could plausibly appear, and that your brand's alternate spellings are registered, since a mention written differently will not match.
What to check, in order
- Alternate spellings: open a few answers and search them for your name as the engines wrote it.
- The prompts: are they questions where you belong in the answer? A prompt about a category you do not serve will never name you.
- Competitors: if no brand you track is named either, the prompts may be too narrow or off-topic.
- Timing: prompts run daily, so a new project needs its first run before numbers appear.
If the zero is real
Then it is the most useful number on the dashboard. Open Sources to see which pages the engines rely on for your category, and Gap analysis to see which competitors hold the answers. That is the work list.
