How do I use the Earned and Owned views?

Short answer
Earned covers what other sites say about you, which is where most AI visibility comes from. Owned covers signals on your own site. They are separated because the work is different: outreach on one side, technical and content fixes on the other.

Which to start with
If engines describe you wrongly or vaguely, start with Owned: they do not understand you yet. If they describe you correctly but rarely recommend you, start with Earned: you need independent pages backing you up.
