How does Noma measure sentiment?
Updated
Short answer
Only answers that actually mention your brand are scored, on a 0 to 100 scale, based on how the surrounding language describes you. Answers that never name you are excluded rather than counted as neutral, which would drag every score toward the middle.
What is scored
The language around your brand in each answer that names it: whether it is recommended, qualified, compared unfavourably or described with concerns. Each of those answers gets a score, and the scores are combined for the period and engines you select.
Why unmentioned answers are left out
An answer that never names you says nothing about how you are perceived. Counting it as neutral would pull every brand's score toward the middle and hide real differences.
