How do I set up my first project?

Updated

Short answer

A project is one brand and one domain. Enter your website and Noma reads your public site to work out what you sell, who you compete with and what buyers would ask. You can edit all of it afterwards; nothing is locked in by the setup.

What setup reads from your site

Noma reads your public pages to propose a starting point: your brand and what it offers, a set of competitors, the markets you serve, and prompts a buyer in your category would plausibly ask. It is a draft to review, not a final configuration.

What to check once setup finishes

  • Your brand's alternate spellings, so mentions written differently still count.
  • The competitor list, against the brands you actually lose deals to.
  • The prompts: mostly category questions a buyer asks before they know you, with any branded prompts kept apart.
  • Your target markets.

When will I see data?

Prompts run daily, so the first full set of answers arrives after the first run. Trends need more than a day: read movement across a week or more.
